I have always greatly enjoyed teaching.  To me, the challenge of finding the best way to make a concept make sense to a student give me new ways to consider my own understanding of that idea.

In previous academic years, I have worked as a Graduate Writing Consultant for the Boston University Writing Center as well as being the grader for the Boston University Syntax class.  I have also worked as an ESL instructor for the Computer Systems Institute.  I have independently tutored for undergraduate students taking classes in introductory linguistics, phonology, morphology, and syntax.  During my undergraduate work at the University of Connecticut, I volunteered as a peer tutor to students in the undergraduate cognitive science classes.
